Memórias Póstumas de Brás Cubas is a reflowable EPUB 3 exported from InDesign. It already passed EPUBCheck with 0 errors and 0 warnings, but DAISY Ace reported 7 violations (4 serious, 2 moderate, 1 minor) and 5 missing accessibility metadata. After the remediation: 0 Ace violations, 0 missing metadata and EPUBCheck still at 0 / 0. The chapter titles, exported as paragraphs, became real headings (from 1 to 13), and the table of contents went from 1 entry, named after the file, to 12. Also fixed: the language of the book and of its passages, table and figure captions, the cover alt text, images with a fixed size (now fluid), type that was too small (now at least 0.75em) and contrast (every colour above 4.5:1). The 2 content images are awaiting alt text reviewed by a person; the AI suggestion is only a draft.
